The schedule can be monitored and updated from any smart or networked device, eliminating the need to physically reprogram classes. Yoga Source Los Gatos is a newly renovated 10,000 sq ft wellness studio with a full range of yoga practices, from hot classes to non-heated sessions and reformer-based training. Temperature and humidity requirements shift every hour. The HVAC control system must reset the indoor air between classes and hit the exact conditions for the next session without disrupting comfort. To cut operating costs and support the studio’s sustainability goals, Maktinta designed and built a 20 kW solar array paired with a 40 kWh BESS. The system reduces grid dependency, provides backup capability, and produces as much on-site energy as possible to move the facility toward net-zero performance.
